In conjunction with Tulsa Juneteenth, Living Arts will present live work on Sunday, June 17th beginning at 1pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Living Arts invited artist Dell Hamilton to perform “Blues\Blank\Black," her performance incorporates key paragraphs from two of Toni Morrison’s most widely taught novels: The Bluest Eye and Beloved. Through gesture, color repetition & remix, Blues\Blank\Black conflates fiction, folklore, live art and persona in order to interrogate trauma, perception and spectatorship.

After we will have poets curated by Tony B. R & B singer and song-writer Tea Rush, The Dance Junkies, bringing their mission of health, self-love and absolute funkiness. Insightful poets Phetote Mshairi, Written Quincy, Kode Ransom, African drumbeats featuring Aboubacar Camara.
