New Arts Camp
The New Arts Camp exposes junior high and high school students (entering grades 6-12) to contemporary art discussion and creation. The New Arts Camp uses four different artistic disciplines - video, performance, new music and installation - to provide an equal balance between the development of creativity and technical skills over a two-week period. The New Arts Camp focuses on research and creation of interdisciplinary artworks. Students will be exposed to interdisciplinary artists from both a historical and contemporary perspective. Camp participants will present their own interdisciplinary project at the end of the session during the August First Friday Art Crawl. Living Arts engages Tulsa's best artists to teach at New Arts Camp. Plus, several guest artists make appearances throughout the session.
