New Arts Camp
The New Arts Camp exposes junior high and high school students (entering grades 6-12) to contemporary art discussion and creation. The New Arts Camp uses four different artistic disciplines - video, performance, new music and installation - to provide an equal balance between the development of creativity and technical skills over a two-week period. The New Arts Camp focuses on research and creation of interdisciplinary artworks. Students will be exposed to interdisciplinary artists from both a historical and contemporary perspective, including visits to other organizations throughout the Arts District. Camp participants will present their own interdisciplinary project at the end of the session during the August First Friday Art Crawl. Living Arts engages fantastic local and regional artists to teach at New Arts Camp.
Camp Dates: July 22nd - August 2nd, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Camp Fee: $300 (Scholarships available)
