Protective Inspections

The purpose of Protective Inspections is to establish minimum requirements to safeguard the public safety, health and general welfare through affordability, structural strength, means of egress facilities, stability, sanitation, light and ventilation, energy conservation, and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the built environment; as well as to provide safety to firefighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.

In order to better serve our citizens, the City of Jenks Inspections Department requires all small job permit inspections requests at existing tenant occupied homes to include contact information for the tenant/owner. Our Inspectors will use this contact information to schedule a convenient inspection time with the tenant/owner.

Contractors do not schedule inspections on behalf of City of Jenks Inspectors; although City of Jenks Inspectors will attempt to schedule inspections as close to the contractor requested time as possible in accordance with the City of Jenks normal inspection procedures. Home tenant/owner should not make special accommodations, such as taking time off work, until contacted by City of Jenks inspectors and an inspection is scheduled.
